Every level has a clear range and a path to the next one. Your level is set by your qualifications and production.

Step 1

C-Technician

$42k–$55k per year

Annual pay range

Very little to some qualifications. Lube, tires, maintenance, inspections; you learn under a mentor.

Step 2

B-Technician

$56k–$73k per year

Annual pay range

Some to moderate qualifications. Brakes, suspension, electrical basics, diagnostics with support.

Step 3

A-Technician

$74k–$170k per year

Annual pay range

Intermediate qualifications and average-and-above production. Diagnostics, drivability, major repair.

New to the trade?

Paid apprenticeship, 16 and up

Paid by the hour, paid training, and paired with a mentor technician. Most apprenticeships last 1 to 2 years, depending on Service Manager and mentor evaluations and your own progress.

Approved by Washington State to hire apprentices 16 and older. We work with Bates, Clover Park, UTI, WyoTech and Pierce County Skills Center.
